Organized by GEO BLUE PLANET and MERCARTOR OCEAN, operator of the Copernicus Marine Service of the European Union, the 4th GEO BLUE PLANET International Symposium will serve as a forum for discussion of ocean and coastal information needs for sustainable development, Blue Growth and societal awareness. It will bring together producers of ocean and coastal information and current and potential users of ocean and coastal information, who will share their experience with the audience.

The symposium will be held in Toulouse, France, 4-6 July 2018, i.e. in Europe for the first time and will take place just prior to the 8th edition of the European Open Science Forum (ESOF-2018).
