UNESCO IOC GOOS

The Fourth Session of JCOMM Expert Team on Operational Ocean Forecasting Systems was held in College Park, MD, USA. Experts devoted four days to review workplan decided on the JCOMM-4 Session, and deliborated projects to be coordinated by ETOOFS and in partner Expert Teams. The Team focused on the preparation of first draft of the Guide to OOFS, and decided to have a side meeting during GODAE OceanView Symposium 2013 in the same venue in College Park. Attention was also paid to observation requirements for observing system and better coordination for marine emergency services.
