Seventh Meeting of the GOOS Steering Committee

The Seventh Meeting of the GOOS Steering Committee was hosted by INVEMAR in Santa Marta, Colombia.

It was preceded by a Regional Workshop for Latin and South America on Tuesday 12 June, open to all Steering Committee meeting participants.

Meeting objectives:

  • GOOS Strategy finalization
  • Engage partners around end-to-end delivery from observations to users
  • Review status of the observing system
  • Implementation Plan development, including new approaches to persistent blocks, and scoping of new initiatives contributing to Strategic Objectives
  • Motivated and enabled Steering Committee
