The next installation of the “Using the Copernicus Marine Data Stream for Ocean Applications” training course, organised by EUMETSAT on behalf of the European Commission as part of the Copernicus Programme, is open for applications. The training will focus on Level 1 and 2 data from the Ocean and Land Colour Imager (OLCI), the Sea and Land Surface Temperature Radiometer (SLSTR), and the SAR Radar Altimeter (SRAL) flown on the Sentinel 3 Satellite.
Notes
An online phase will take place from the 19-30 March, and a classroom phase will take place in Riga, Latvia, from the 16-20th April in collaboration with the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
The workshop is suitable for (but not restricted to) early career scientists in Europe: Master / PhD students, Post-Docs; experienced scientists with an interest in working with satellite based ocean observation data; and those in the commercial sector who are interested in this data. Participants should have some working experience with geospatial data and a scripting language such as Python.
