2nd Integrated Intersessional Meetings of the ICG/IOTWMS

Notes

At its 11th session, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 18-20 April 2017, the Intergovernmental Coordination Group (ICG) for the Indian Ocean Tsunami Warning and Mitigation System (IOTWMS) decided to hold integrated meetings of the Working Groups, SOP workshops, post-IOWave workshops and IOTIC workshops to optimise resources. The first integrated meetings were held in BMKG, Jakarta during September 2017 and the second integrated meetings are scheduled to be held at INCOIS, Hyderabad during June 26 - July 14, 2018 and will include the following events:

• June 26 – July 5, 2018: Training of Trainers on Tsunami Emergency Maps, Plans and Procedures (TEMPP-2)
• July 6, 2018: ICG/IOTWMS Working Group and Task Team Meetings (WG-1, WG-2, TT-IOWave18, TT-CATP)
• July 9, 2018: ICG/IOTWMS Subregional Working Group for the North West Indian Ocean Meeting
• July 10 - 14, 2018: Workshop on TWC Operations and SOPs for Tsunami Warning and Emergency Response
