NOAA, in collaboration with AtlantOS, GOOS and many others, are hosting a side event at the All-Atlantic Research and Innovation for a Sustainable Ocean: Ministerial High-Level & Stakeholders Conference, 2-4 June 2021, Ponta Delgada, Azores, Portugal. The event entitled “Atlantic Contributions to the Global Ocean Observing System” will take place on 2 June 2021, from 17:00 to 19:00 UTC.

The goal of this side event is threefold:

• compile a list of initiatives in the Atlantic ranging in scale (through registration);
• a set of recommendations to create a more synergistic and efficient Observing System in the Atlantic; and
• recommendations on how to better connect various stakeholders in the Atlantic from observers, industry to end-users.
